April is around the corner and this being the last week of March, we thought we would take a look at designer Robert Stilin as he takes AD Espana through an exciting tour of his East Hampton home. The atmosphere that Architectural Digest describes is comfortable, natural, and vibrant reflecting his work and personal life. The dining and living space has a beautiful round table with a 19th century wooden serving tray, surrounded by dark grey upholstered chairs. The back wall showcases an oversized framed photograph of a construction parking lot and underneath is one of several benches, used for storing books and what ever one may carry in the door.

Robert’s sitting room is very inviting with a various mix of chairs never allowing for a repeated look. One of the chairs is a beautiful khaki colored antique club chair showing wear and tear, which is paired with a wicker lounge chair, which is not expected, but surprisingly well done. An antique industrial French table lamp allows for some nice reading light, paired with a twist leg side table opposite.
On the wall of the main walkway hangs a pair of maps early 1900’s that have been printed on fabric. The Americana feel is evident in the home with the American flag draped over a an industrial wooden and metal bench.
